The comparison had to be made - overlapping previews, primetime TV stars in their first leading roles in a feature film, similar story line.
Anyway, is there any argument that Katherine Heigl just smoked John Kracinskwifawi (sorry Tina)? Seriously, being the smoking hot female lead in Judd's latest movie definitely blows away popping the heads off of Robin Williams' (and some weird little kid's) demonic, shit/pissing robot children. Right?
Let's just hope, for John K and for Tina (who's probably still gonna see the movie, right?) that everyone forgets this little lapse of judgment.

This is one of the dumbest posts in the history of the blog. In the sense that the plots share similar traits to almost every romantic comedy ever made, then yes the story lines are similar and a comparison must be made. If i had authority of any kind, and the blog wasn’t in such dire need of participation, I would dock you of your posting rights and make sure each and every one of your comments needed approval by a panel of kindergarteners whose minimal reading level would still allow them to detect and prevent the waste of time you added to this blog. Just because you got cable doesn’t mean you have to pay attention to the previews you see while watching Entertainment Tonight and reading US weekly.
Sam, I'm not really sure how me getting cable lets me read US Weekly. Or, even if I did read US Weekly (which I don't) how I would watch movie previews on it. Also, Entertainment Tonight is on NBC, so you don't need cable to watch it (which I also don't, because it's stupid.)
More importantly, there is no way that every romantic comedy focuses on a young couple trying to adjust their lifestyles to deal with a baby. (From the preview for License and Wed - which I've only seen once, and that was during Knocked Up - it looks like those robot babies are pretty important.) So, really, the plotlines are sufficiently similar to each other and dissimilar from other romantic comedies to warrant noting.
Finally, I realize you were probably just bitter because everyone keeps bringing up your girlfriend's crush on John K, but that's no reason to bash a perfectly reasonable post.
One movie is about marriage and the other is about an illegitimate child resulting from a one night stand. Like the majority of romantic comedies, the plot of both movies is based around a couple trying to manage a conflict without ruining the relationship.
Granted there was limited reasoning behind the claims in my first comment...but I had to defend your assertion that my girlfriend was a John K. whore.
Who said anything about Tina being a whore? Not me. All I said was that it was my understanding that Tina was somewhat of a fan of John K.
I assumed that Tina would like to see him in more movies, because they're longer than TV shows and his face is much bigger in a movie theater than on a TV screen. I think that's pretty safe to assume.
And, the fact that both movies fit the romantic comedy mold really just makes my point: Two primetime stars jump to the big screen in romantic comedies. One is wildly successful, pretty assuring us that Katherine Heigl will be in more movies soon (which is sweet) while the other one seems like it will flop.
The end of my post was hoping that everyone forgets License to Wed, so that John K. will still have the chance to be in more movies.
The first time i read that last post I thought you wrote that tina was a fan of john kruk. I was about to flip out until i read it again. God i hate how he ruined baseball tonight.
I think your Knocked Up v. License to Wed post was brilliant because its easily been the most entertaining part of my day. Mark and Jay are out at a golf outing and im not in the mood to be proactive.
What the hell just transpired in these last few responses?... It seems to me like Dre made a though-provoking post, and then Sam flipped out for no reason... later on, Sam does a complete 180 and calls Dre's post "brilliant", even though in his first response he claimed he wanted to "dock (Dre) of his posting rights." So, I repeat, what the hell is going on here?
I would like to say that I found Dre's post to be relevant and his assessment to be quite accurate. "License To Wed" looks like it's going to suck. Krasinski is just lucky that his agents followed the advice of Ari Gold - "always book your next movie before your current movie is released" (this protects you in case your current movie is a flop... and this one sure seems to be). Krasinski will next be seen in "Leatherheads" (a Clooney-directed picture) in which he plays the role of an "I'm-the-man" quarterback. It's supposed to be good.
Personally, I've got a bone to pick with Krasinksi and his agents. I listened to he and Shawn Levy talk about one of the lead roles in the Searchlight movie we were doing, "The Way Back." Krasinksi was really psyched to do it; expressed his admiration, respect, and desire to work with Shawn; and even had several intelligent notes on the character and the script as a whole. So, the studio made an offer, which Krasinski's people spent 2 weeks mulling over (industry standard is 48 hours). Finally, after two weeks, they tell us that his schedule is too busy (between finishing up "Leatherheads" and beginning "The Office"). But then the question becomes, "why didn't you tell us this right away?" We wasted 2 weeks waiting on hiim, when we could have been going out to other actors. As a result, we were unable to cast a strong actor in that lead role (in the short time period that we were working with... we needed to begin principal photography 5 weeks later). We began to see that our cast wasn't shaping up quite the way we had hoped, and so the studio decided to put the project on hiatus, until we can piece together the perfect cast.
It was a great script, it's going to be a fantastic movie, and I was hoping to be an extra (I would have played a meathead teenager who tosses around a football on the beach without my shirt on and then picks up some hot bikini-clad chick and run into the ocean with her). I'm pretty sure Shawn would have went for this. But alas, the movie is on-hold for the time being, and so Shawn is taking the next couple months to produce "The Rocker" and develop several big movie projects.
Well now Ari is saying that Vince can't book another movie until the people see his current movie...so much for that advice then.
Rand I guess all those days at the gym would have paid off if you were able to land that extra gig. What better of a role for you Rand than being at the beach with your shirt off.
