613 and more

I'm back to finish the rest of the entry.

What's happening everyone? How's the summer treating all of you?

I have really posted a blog in quite some time so I figured it's about that time.

I hope everyone had a lovely 613 Holiday, let me give you the run down of my day. I started the day off right with a nice cup of coffee, no surprise there something I would do quite frequently in Ithaca too, and then I watch back to back episdoes of Family Feud from noon to 1. Although I prefer the game over the show. After the Feud was over I accessed the Vivid Website via the 613 password (not really, but I figured people who get a laugh out of it, atleast sam anyways). Went down to the kitchen and cooked me up some nice reuben sandwhiches (one of my favorite meals to make) to enjoy the soccer game between Brazil and Croatia. Then I went to the movies with my family and checked out X-3 for the second time. My little brothers were dying to see that movie after I watched the 1st and 2nd one with them so I promised I would take them to the new one. After the movies I went over to Pollock's house (he's my buddy that went to Cornell) to check out Rescue Me. It's a pretty damn good show and everyone should check it out it possible. That was pretty much my 6-13 Holiday. I also drank a beer during Rescue Me as a celebration for the holiday.

I went to the Mets/Phillies game last Thursday. The game was in Philadelphia and me and a few of my buddies decided to take a little road trip. The game was at 1 o'clock and we left Fulton at 5:30 in the morning, it was pretty rough getting up, but after 5:45 a joint was being passed around in the car so nothing like a wake and bake to cure the hangover (I really didn't have a hangover I just wanted to quote The OC). We did make one crucial mistake though, we forgot that to buy beer in PA it had to be purchased at a distributing center and not at your local CVS, fucking PA they suck. So we were left with no beer and plenty of food while tailgaiting, we were hoping for some Mets fans to spare us a few brews, but they didn't, fucking Mets fans they suck. It was a good game, the Mets started off the top of the 1st with 4 runs, but after that they slowed down and the Phillies were eventually down 1, but they never took the lead and and the Mets ended up winning 5-4. There was a 1/2 hour rain delay, but since our seats were so high up we were covered by the over hang and while everyone else was getting drenched we were just chilling in our seats drinking beers, it was great. We had some pretty roudy Mets fans in front of us and this one kid tried to start every possible Mets chant. No lie, everytime Reyes was up to bat he would scream "Jose, Jose, Jose, Jose, you get the point" like what the Brazilians do with olay. After the game we did some more tailgaiting, with no beer, but we witnessed a couple of arguments take place between some Mets and Phillies fans, I was hoping some fist would be thrown, but it never happened.

Since I spent a little down in Philly I heard a little gossip around town. Apparently, Geno's, the flashy cheesesteak joint that is across the street from Pats put up a sign that said we will not serve customers who do not speak english. Now the gov't is after them for discrimination and all that jazz. Here is a link to the story Cheesesteaks.
-Just to get the facts straight. Rand is not a fan of Geno's and always take people to Pats to enjoy a delicious philly cheesesteak.

I know some people are already go to Kim's place for the 4th of July, but for those of you who don't know about it you are more than welcome to come and celebrate with us. I believe that Tony, Bry, Chris and I will be there. Also Bry's grad party is on the 1st so if you go to that then you can go to Kim's as well. Just an idea that I'm tossing out there, feel free to send it right back. Also Dana, Kim and I will be in Boston from July 6-9 if anyone wants to join for the good times that lie ahead.

Okay I think I'm done writing for now. I haven't written anything this long since I was a sophomore in college and since it's so long I'm not gonna go back and revise it so if you see a mistake deal with it or make a comment and I shall get back to ya.

Great work on the 613 facts Tina and I loved the video you posted.

Take care all, and I'm willing to take bets that Dallas wins the NBA Finals.

peace up, atown down,

-Lim
