A Fellow Fan

Peter Cattaneo (director of "The Full Monty"... who is currently directing "The Rocker" for us at 21 Laps Entertainment --- that's the name of our production company) is a huge Arsenal fan. Although he hates both teams involved in the FA final tomorrow (Man U and Chelsea) he's waking up at the crack of dawn, heading to Santa Monica, and paying a $20 cover charge to catch the game at a British Pub. We were discussing some Arsenal players this afternoon... he's very dissatisfied with Lehman in goal, and he's been thoroughly unimpressed with Juan Baptista. Thoughts?

As far as "The Rocker" goes: We begin shooting in Toronto in less than a month. Rainn Wilson is attached to play the lead... a former drummer in an 80s hair band (Vesuvius) that got kicked out right before the group got huge. After spending the last 20 years trudging through life as an account/claims investigator, he joins his nephew's band for a talent show gig (they need a drummer). They have a rocky start, but things soon take off and we see FISH (Wilson) trying to make up for lost time by partying to the maximum (and nearly killing himself) in every small town and city that the band tours in... there's a lot more to the movie than just that, but there's a kick breakdown (without any of the ancillary characters or relationship arcs). It's shaping up very nicely. I'll relay more info as the cast comes together over the next week.

24 and HIMYM

So I was watching how I met your mother tonight and I was wondering if the show is really that good or if TV is just THAT BAD right now. I honestly do not know the answer. I have watched every HIMYM episode within the last month and really enjoy the show, I mean I think it is a really good show but I just cannot tell anymore. Besides HIMYM, The office, and occasionally Scrubs or My name is Earl is anything good on TV anymore (besides the Inferno). As for 24, it is HORRIBLE. I repeat HORRIBLE. I recently heard a rumor that there was an error and they mislabeled the episode numbers so they thought the season was all planned out but needed to make up this end scenario. I do not know if that is true but it would help to explain the CRAP that has been airing. A few 24 notes:
1. If this sub circuit board could really hold the key to Russian defense technology (which is ridiculous to begin with) why would Gridenko sell the middle easterners the suitcase nukes (notice middle easterners is used there since they do not have the balls to name a country anymore), couldn’t the “middle easterners” just SELL one of the sub circuit boards to the Chinese.
2. This is what should happen next week, Josh should be given to his grandfather and then the next season should be Jack going to some random country to find him and kick ass killing and neck snapping would ensue.
3. I will stop here because I could go on for hours but this season is so bad I almost wish I had never watched the show, but of course then I would not enjoy JBPH so I will have to deal.

Anyway what’s the deal with the 613 track jackets??

Sam?

OK I leave on this note; 30 rack for anyone who moves to Syracuse with me.

Early Morning Revelry

At our next "Kegs and Eggs" celebration (...Dre and Zoe's Wedding Day?), we should definitely cook up some "Eggs Marshall" - scrambled eggs mixed with Italian dressing... because, as most of us know, Marshall (from HIMYM) says they're "awesome!"

Beer...video....uh oh

Now that I've figured this out...well, who knows what will show up here. For starters, though, an old and useful German classic.

If only NBA fans were greek

it's easy to pick on NBA fans, especially the ones in Miami, but seriously, check out how cool it would be to watch a professional basketball game in Greece.

It's kind of like Golden State, only louder and with flags, flares and a fight song.

Did I Black Out or Something?

Hey guys! So as my last few days are approaching I've been thinking about how much fun last year was (see Limmer's text), but I can't seem to remember what everyone did graduation night... do you? I've asked a few people, but no one has given me an answer that they're certain of.

I know it's safe to say that it was spent at Moonie's dominating photo hunt, but for some reason that doesn't feel right? I don't know, maybe I blacked out but if anyone remembers for sure I'd appreciate the refresher.

Also, on behalf on the girls here I just feel the need to apologize for all the ridiculous calls that have been going out late wednesday, thursday, friday and saturday nights.

I can't say there won't be more... in fact I'm going to apologize for the future calls, but I can say that we will make more of an effort to spread out the calling/harrassing among different people as we can imagine that some of you are wearing thin...
